Mission Better Tomorrow is a collective destiny. This journey is about rising about the personal limitations and exploring the power of collective enterprising.

There are no islands here. Efforts and talents are pooled in to create a cumulative effect that works for the benefit of the entire society. In other words, each one of us has a role to play in this movement.

Just like the famous African Ubuntu philosophy, with Mission Better Tomorrow “I Am Because We Are”. There are no personal gains and neither are contributions weighed. Everyone chips in with what they have and reap the benefit together.

What started as a trickle became a force. Like-minded people united by the social interventions taken up by Mr. Vijayan IPS, the then City Police Commissioner, gathered and found a way to continue those acts. They were United in Compassion. That was the beginning of a movement called Nanma.

Launched in 2006, the focus of Nanma was on Education and Health. Its accent was on Human Capital Development. It went beyond just supporting with study material.

It meant total support for children. Soon, Nanma branched out to various programmes involving children. The Capability Exploration and Enhancement Programme (CEEP), which was launched in 2006, was formally presented before the world by none other than Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the most adored President of India. Nanma Learning Centres took advanced learning to children who have been denied it till then.

Nanma was also a fellow traveller in many projects like Student Police Cadets (a high school-based programme to groom children as responsible and model civilians), Our Responsibility to Children (to identity and support children with social deviancies) and Project Hope (to identify and support children who fail and drop out of academic system).

In this journey, many supported Nanma. The agencies who extended their hands towards it include Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), UNICEF, Kalinga Foundation, Institute of Palliative Medicine, a WHO Collaborating Centre, Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives, Rabdan Academy, UAE, Periyar Africa Foundation, Ghana, Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry, Bridge Institute, Singapore, Rajagiri Group of Educational Institutes, Geojith Paribas, Nitta Gelatin, VKM Special School, Malappuram, G-Tech Computer Education and many more.

During the Rebuild Kerala campaign that helped the State to survive from the devastating Great Floods of 2018, Nanma stepped forward and constructed 104 houses. During the pandemic, Nanma was an active partner in many State-run programmes like Feed-A-Stomach, Saadaram and Jeevadhara, besides taking its own initiatives like Pravasi Help Desk, Doctors’ Desk and Drug Bank.

Mission Better Tomorrow is the next step that Nanma took - to reach out the world outside the State and take the message across nations. What Mission Better Tomorrow can offer is an egalitarian platform where voices are heard, arguments are listened to, differences are celebrated and decisions are relished. We have our feet firmly placed in today and eyes unwaveringly cast on tomorrow. Trust us, it is a magnificent view.

This is our invite to join us on this platform and share the view of a glorious tomorrow.
