The Driving Force
When going gets tough, the tough gets going says the adage. Our resolve is to make this a better place through positive engagements. For this, we chose to engage with children and young people.
We believe they hold the key to a Better Tomorrow and are our fellow travelers in this Mission. Our experience with children taught us that solutions are not invented, they are discovered. Solutions are waiting for the seeker to find them. The most interesting part of this being, the solutions come along with the problems. As American pianist Duke Ellington rightly said, “A problem is a chance for you to do your best”. This realisation drives us along.
Life is not easy at all. It keeps placing challenges at every turn. But we have to go on and keep motivating ourselves. We do not have the luxury to wait. The luxury of endless time. Nigerian poet Ijeoma Umebinyuo once sang: “Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just… start.”
